Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. seeks a Facilities Custodian to maintain a safe, clean, and compliant center environment for early childhood programs.

You will conduct inspections and coordinate with the Transportation & Facilities Coordinator to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local standards. Responsibilities include supervising children as required, upholding health and safety guidelines, and supporting learning environments that promote school readiness for families served by the ECD

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, with 6 months custodial experience.
• Knowledge of maintenance, inventory and purchasing supplies.
• Education obtained outside the USA must be evaluated for USA equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure center facilities, materials, equipment, and environments are safe, clean, and well maintained.
• Perform required inspections, maintenance and repairs in compliance with laws and Head Start standards.
• Promote school readiness by preparing children and families for school and life success.
• Actively supervise children by sight and sound at all times.
• Maintain health and safety regulations to create an optimum learning environment.
• Facilitate health practices to keep children safe indoors and outdoors.
