Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) is seeking a Facilities Custodian to keep classrooms, offices, kitchens, and outdoor areas safe, clean, and well-maintained.

The role emphasizes completing inspections, basic repairs, inventory management, and adherence to Head Start performance standards. You will collaborate with the Center Service Manager to plan routine maintenance, replenish supplies, sanitize restrooms, and support environmental safety.

Qualifications

• High School/GED and at least 6 months custodial experience.
• Knowledge of maintenance, inventory and purchasing supplies.
• Valid driver's license; must meet MVR standards, company insurance eligibility, and maintain an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop routine maintenance schedule with Center Service Manager.
• Replenish tissue and paper towel dispensers throughout the center.
• Complete daily sanitation of all center toilets.
• Empty and sanitize all center trash containers from classrooms, office, and kitchen.
• Clean inside and outside windows and entry doors; sweep, wet mop, or vacuum floors.
• Assist in cleaning and removal of body fluids as needed.
• Assist with maintenance of facility and equipment; playground and outside toys.
