Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher in facility management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Certifications such as Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) or HVAC certifications can be highly beneficial.
• Several years of maintenance experience with supervisory or management responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations ensuring building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) are maintained and functioning.
• Supervise maintenance team including hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance.
• Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance through audits and training.
• Develop preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and costs.
• Coordinate responses to emergency maintenance situations to minimize disruption.
• Manage and monitor maintenance budget and vendor contracting.
• Liaise with residents and staff to address maintenance concerns and ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain records of work, inspections, and compliance activities.
