Job summary

Ingham County is seeking a part-time Maintenance Repair Worker/Custodian to support county facilities under the Maintenance Supervisor. The role covers a broad range of tasks from basic repairs, plumbing, carpentry, painting, groundskeeping, and helping with room setups and moving furniture.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least one year of maintenance experience, plus a valid Michigan driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of building maintenance or repair experience.
• Valid Michigan Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs to buildings, fixtures, and equipment.
• Conduct plumbing repairs and assist with major plumbing jobs.
• Assist carpentry tasks including drywall, doors, and frames.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces as needed.
• Move and assemble office furniture and assist with room setups.
• Operate a vehicle for deliveries and tasks.
• Maintain and store maintenance tools safely.
• Assist groundskeepers and custodial staff as required.
