Qualifications

• Certificate from a two-year vocational program: Carpentry, Electricity, or Plumbing.
• Three-years of building construction, property maintenance, general contractor, building inspection, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates staff and completes performance appraisals.
• Coordinates work with schedules; inspects progress and provides direction.
• Enforces safety procedures for equipment and staff.
• Monitors inventory and orders parts, supplies, and materials.
• Develops and monitors preventive maintenance programs and schedules.
• Collects data, prepares reports, and completes special projects.
• Conducts on-site inspections of building maintenance projects and resolves issues.
• Prepares cost estimates, bid specifications, and procurement recommendations.
• Supervises mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpentry and grounds work.
• Coordinates moving equipment and supplies for meetings and events.
• Assists in budget preparation and expenditure control.
