Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is hiring a Facility Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance across multiple facilities or a large complex, ensuring timely, cost-efficient upkeep of structures, systems, and grounds.

The role supervises staff or vendors in plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, electrical, and related areas. Responsibilities include coordinating with the Corporate Project Development team, managing budgets, reviewing schedules, and enforcing safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5 years in construction, plumbing, electricity, HVAC, mechanical, carpentry or related work.
• Journeyman certification in one or more trades.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate with groups.
• Experience using BAS software or related computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with Corporate Project Development to manage construction/remodeling projects.
• Develops and maintains maintenance budgets and tracks costs.
• Reviews production schedules and estimates worker hours for timely completion.
• Establishes and adjusts work procedures to meet schedules.
• Monitors BAS; analyzes energy usage and costs to reduce expenses.
• Directs staff engaged in facility maintenance and repairs across trades.
• May supervise inmates/detainees in maintenance training; performs duties as assigned.
