Job summary

The GEO Group is hiring for a facilities maintenance leadership role in a security-focused environment. You will oversee cost-efficient maintenance across multiple facilities, managing a team and external vendors to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.

The role requires strong supervisory experience, BAS familiarity, and the ability to lead diverse teams, including inmates under supervision, to deliver reliable maintenance and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Five years in construction, plumbing, electricity, HVAC, mechanical, carpentry or related work.
• Journeyman certification in one or more trades such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing or carpentry.
• Experience supervising staff and contractors.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals; write routine reports.
• Experience using BAS software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cost-efficient maintenance of facilities and supervise a team and vendors.
• Plan and manage remodeling, maintenance, and repair projects.
• Coordinate with corporate and supervisors; manage permits and inspections per blueprints.
• Monitor BAS to review energy usage and costs; implement optimization.
• Enforce safety regulations and train workers to meet goals.
• Provide guidance and coaching to staff to achieve outcomes.
• Perform maintenance work and supervise inmates/detainees in training.
