Job summary

RENK America is seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Manager to oversee all facility operations in a manufacturing setting. You will lead maintenance personnel, manage preventive programs, and coordinate capital projects to maintain uptime and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering, lean Six Sigma knowledge, and proven leadership in a union environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment and a minimum of 3 years leading a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in a union environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations for building systems, machinery, equipment, and grounds.
• Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
• Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate maintenance staff and contractors.
• Coordinate and supervise facility repairs, upgrades, and capital improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee facility services such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and janitorial services.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment performance.
• Develop and manage budgets for maintenance, repairs, and facility operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Develop centralized spare parts crib and a structured reorder process
• Implement technology to improve maintenance department including use of tablets and systems that support the team
