Job summary

Parker Hannifin, Parflex Division, Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a Maintenance Department Manager to supervise the maintenance team and lead facility planning, design, construction, and maintenance activities. This role focuses on cost objectives, efficiency, and safety within a large corporate facility.

The candidate will coordinate with multiple departments, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with building and environmental regulations while mentoring staff and driving continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and practical knowledge in facilities management.
• 5–7 years of maintenance or facilities experience.
• Journeyman or certification in one or more relevant maintenance disciplines (Electrical, HVAC, etc.).
• Knowledge of facility engineering principles, regulations (OSHA, building/electrical codes).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, assigns and supervises work of the maintenance department.
• Maintains facility equipment and preventive maintenance programs; documents testing of security and fire systems.
• Maintains inventories and supplies for efficient operation of the Corporate Headquarters.
• Oversees planning, design, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, buildings, and facilities; estimates costs and coordinates quotes.
• Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms for design criteria and schedules; ensures safety and building code compliance.
• Inspects progress to ensure conformance to drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Analyzes and reviews policies; recommends changes to facilities management systems.
• Responds to inquiries from customers, regulators, or business community.
