Job summary

Jersey Mike's is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Manager to lead hands-on repairs across 30+ Jersey Mike's locations in New Jersey. This field-based role requires regular statewide travel, diagnosing a wide range of repairs from plumbing to electrical, plus servicing commercial kitchen equipment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in facilities maintenance with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and OSHA/lockout-tagout credentials, and experience with multi-site operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on facilities maintenance, multi-site or restaurant maintenance experience; 5+ years preferred.
• EPA Section 608 certification required for work with regulated refrigerants.
• HVAC/refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, CFESA, OSHA/lockout-tagout, or manufacturer-specific certifications.
• Experience with commercial kitchen equipment brands listed (Bizerba, Nu-Vu, Hoshizaki, Delfield, CaptiveAire, Imperial, Vulcan).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete general facility repairs including light plumbing and electrical work, carpentry, doors, ceilings, walls, painting, flooring, lighting, furniture, fixtures, and storefront items.
• Respond to repair requests across the portfolio.
• Troubleshoot and service commercial restaurant equipment (walk-in coolers/freezers, deli units, under-counter refrigerators, ice machines, ovens, grills, fryers, slicers, exhaust hoods).
• Escalate work needing licensed trades or specialized contractors and follow through to completion.

Facilities & Maintenance Manager

Hands-on facilities leadership for 30+ Jersey Mike's locations

Location: Field-based throughout New Jersey; regular statewide travel required

Schedule: Full-time; primarily weekdays with occasional early-morning, evening, weekend, or emergency response

Compensation: Based on experience, technical ability, and certifications

Company support: Company vehicle, fuel, tools, safety equipment, and paid technical/manufacturer training

The Job:

• Diagnose and complete general facility repairs, including light plumbing and electrical work within your legal and technical scope, carpentry, doors and hardware, ceiling tiles, walls and painting, flooring, lighting, furniture, fixtures, and exterior/storefront items.
• Respond to repair requests across the portfolio
• Troubleshoot and service commercial restaurant equipment such as walk-in coolers and freezers, sandwich units, deli cases, under-counter refrigerators, ice machines, bread ovens and proofers, grills and griddles, slicers, exhaust hoods and fans, and warming equipment.
• Escalate work that requires a licensed trade, special manufacturer authorization, or a specialized contractor, and remain accountable for the issue through completion.

Preferred Credentials:

• At least 3 years of hands-on facilities maintenance, commercial kitchen equipment service, or multi-site restaurant, hospitality, or retail maintenance experience; 5+ years is preferred.
• EPA Section 608 certification, which is required for any work involving regulated refrigerants.
• HVAC/refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, CFESA, OSHA/lockout-tagout, or manufacturer-specific certifications.
• Experience with Bizerba, Nu-Vu, Hoshizaki, Delfield, CaptiveAire, Imperial, Vulcan, or similar commercial kitchen equipment.
