Job summary

Adventures on the Gorge, a premier outdoor resort in West Virginia, seeks a Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance, engineering services, and aquatic facilities, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations across lodging, F&B, retail, and recreation areas.

The role directs supervisors and technicians, manages budgets, and coordinates with Operations, Lodging, and Safety teams to maximize uptime and safety compliance, while aligning with Aramark standards.

Qualifications

• Requires 3-5 years of experience in maintenance.
• Requires 1-3 years of experience in a management role.
• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to manage as part of a larger team or manage function independently, without direct supervision.
• The ability to multi-task is a must.

Responsibilities

• Leads, mentors, engages and develops teams to enhance their contributions, including recruiting, assessing, training, coaching, and managing performance
• Coach employees by creating a shared understanding about what needs to be achieved and how it is to be achieved
• Rewards and recognizes employees
• Ensures safety and sanitation standards in operation
• Develops a strong level of trust and credibility regarding technical competency
• Provides technical expertise in all engineering areas including the resort pool, kitchen, cabins, and all facilities
• Delivers and models WEST as the foundation for delivering excellent customer service
• Financial Performance
• Responsible for building revenue and managing budget which includes cost controls regarding engineering, inventory, projects, and labor as well as ensuring the completion and maintenance of P&L and budget statements
• Adopts all Aramark processes and systems, eliminate custom/manual reports
• Understands performance metrics, data, and order and inventory trends; educate teams on key levers to improve margins
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified approach
• Provides overall direction and manages performance for all Engineering supervisors, and front-line employees, ensuring employee development, engagement and compliance with human resource related policies, including conducting applicable rounding
• Ensures compliance with appropriate safety, OSHA, Joint Commission, and regulatory standards
