Job summary

Las Vegas Valley Water District is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to plan, supervise and inspect the maintenance, repair, servicing and remodeling of District/SNWA buildings and facilities. The role requires coordinating work with contractors and internal teams, drafting project scopes and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong leadership, experience in maintenance planning, and knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and life-safety

Qualifications

Knowledge of facility construction, remodeling, maintenance and repair methods and equipment.
Understanding electrical, plumbing, HVAC and fire/life safety systems for large facilities.
Work order planning and scheduling practices.
Safety practices and compliance applicable to facilities work.
Computer applications used by a district/water authority.
Codes, regulations and contract provisions governing facilities work.
Project management basics and scheduling.
Supervision principles and staff development.
HR policies and labor contract provisions.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and supervise maintenance and remodeling of campuses and facilities.
Develop work plans, monitor budgets and costs.
Coordinate scheduling with user departments and other divisions.
Draft scopes of work, plans and cost estimates for projects.
Oversee safety programs and ensure compliance with regulations.
Respond to emergencies and manage preventive maintenance programs.
Maintain records and reports related to work orders and projects.
