Job summary

Slate is seeking a Group Leader for Facilities and Maintenance to oversee our manufacturing facility’s daily operations on Crew E Shift. You will lead technicians, ensure equipment reliability, and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5+ years in manufacturing facilities, proven leadership, and solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building systems are expected. Familiarity with CMMS and OSHA regulations will support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 5+ years in facilities or maintenance in manufacturing.
• Proven leadership experience to manage and motivate a team.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building systems; OSHA safety regs familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the facilities and maintenance team to ensure reliable equipment and infrastructure.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Coordinate with production and engineering to minimize downtime.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and procurement of tools and spare parts.
• Oversee facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building management systems.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff to improve skills.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
