Job summary

Slate is seeking a Group Leader, Facilities and Maintenance for Crew G Shift in our Indiana facility. You will lead and mentor a maintenance team, develop preventive maintenance schedules, and coordinate with production to minimize downtime while supporting manufacturing goals.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, with strong leadership, CMMS proficiency, and solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5+ years in facilities or maintenance roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
• Familiarity with CMMS and safety regulations (OSHA).
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the facilities and maintenance team to ensure timely and effective maintenance of equipment and infrastructure.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and support manufacturing goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and procurement of tools and spare parts.
• Oversee facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building management systems.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff, promoting continuous improvement and skill development.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
