Job summary

NMS is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Alaska to plan, coordinate, and supervise daily maintenance and repair activities within a secure building. You will oversee maintenance personnel and contractors to keep building systems, equipment, and infrastructure safe, reliable, and operational.

You will ensure all work complies with company policies, security requirements, safety regulations, and applicable building codes while supporting the facility’s operational needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least five (5) years’ experience in related trade with supervisory responsibilities.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for the past three years.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings (drug test, physical, fit for duty, hearing test).
• Ability to cooperate and work as part of a team; make quick decisions with minimal supervision.
• Contract requires English proficiency (read/write).

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes and schedules work for the maintenance crew.
• Issues work permits and coordinates resources with internal/external activities.
• Maintains safety program and ensures work meets code and quality standards.
• Supervises maintenance staff and contractors to keep systems operational.
• Maintains logs for work performed and utility readings.
• Completes safety walk-throughs and enforces company policies.
