Job summary

Innovative Consulting & Management Services (ICMS) seeks a General Maintenance Trades Helper to assist skilled tradesmen in support of facility operations for federal and commercial clients. Duties include tools handling, area cleaning, and aiding HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance tasks.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety, ability to read plans, and independent problem solving. Must hold OSHA 10/30 certification, a valid driver’s license, and US citizenship for security clearance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Experience in commercial or federal building operations and facilities maintenance.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
• Proficient with diagnostics, repair, and system monitoring tools.
• Ability to read and interpret building plans, equipment manuals, and safety procedures.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record.
• US Citizenship and ability to pass government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled maintenance tradesmen with general duties across HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems.
• Gather and manage tools; keep work areas clean and safe.
• Perform preventative maintenance on non-critical equipment as directed by senior staff.
• Respond to service calls and support on-site operations and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain grounds and assist with inventory of tools and equipment.
