Job summary

JLL is seeking a Maintenance Helper to support upkeep of large-scale manufacturing facilities in Lake Orion, MI. The role focuses on repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems.

You will assist skilled tradespeople, learn multiple maintenance trades, and contribute to a safe, productive work environment. This is a first-shift, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 2–3 years of related work experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn maintenance trades.
• Ability to obtain certification to operate powered vehicular equipment (e.g., burden carriers, forklifts, aerial lifts).
• Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and instructions.
• Physical ability to sit/stand/walk, reach/twist, lift 49 lbs or more.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and tolerate hazards.
• Overtime, weekend, and irregular hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance and grounds personnel with repair and installation of facility items and systems.
• Perform painting tasks to maintain attractive, healthy facilities.
• Install system components and equipment to keep facilities safe and operating.
• Clean gutters, drains, and related components to ensure proper drainage.
• Safely operate and maintain shop tools and powered equipment to keep assets in safe condition.
• Request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory for ongoing work.
• Respond to emergencies to resolve safety concerns and support team operations.
