Job summary

LCFM YMCA Newark, OH is seeking a Facility Maintenance Aide responsible for keeping our facilities safe, clean, and well-maintained. You will perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, and seasonal outdoor tasks to support programs and events.

Responsibilities include inspecting buildings and equipment, performing basic repairs, maintaining cleanliness when custodial duties are required, and coordinating with supervisors and contractors to ensure timely work completion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 6 months related maintenance experience.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the facility and grounds.
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and safety systems for maintenance needs.
• Set up, move, and break down tables, chairs, and equipment for events.
• Coordinate with supervisors and outside contractors as needed.
• Handle custodial duties during shifts to maintain cleanliness.
