Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a General Maintenance professional to support store operations with preventive and corrective maintenance across facilities. You will handle electrical, plumbing, mechanical tasks and oversee contractors to keep the building safe and efficient.

This role requires broad building trades skills and strong mechanical aptitude, plus the ability to coordinate work with teams and support energy conservation and waste management programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree Required: High School education or 1-2 year vocational training.
• High mechanical ability.
• Must also be willing to work with and oversee the work of others.
• Verifiable experience in maintenance related fields.
• Experience that demonstrates skill in various building trades listed above.
• Good customer service attitude.
• Polite, engaging, and courteous demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical repair: lamp changing, light fixture repair/installation, diagnostic capability.
• Perform plumbing repair: pump and fixture installations/replacements/repair, drain cleaning, diagnostic capability.
• Maintain basic understanding of commercial equipment operation and maintenance procedures for HVAC.
• Perform basic mechanical repair on tractors, forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Repair the building: painting, wall repair, minor carpentry, floor repair, etc.
• Complete preventative and reparative maintenance including electric maintenance, mechanics, hydraulics, carpentry and masonry.
