Bass Pro Shops in Michigan seeks a full-time General Maintenance technician to support store operations with preventive maintenance and oversight of service contractors. The role requires broad skills across building trades and a proactive approach to energy conservation and waste management programs.

Responsibilities include electrical and plumbing repairs, diagnostics, and performing routine maintenance on equipment and facilities while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree Required: High School education or 1-2 year vocational training
• High mechanical ability
• Must also be willing to work with and oversee the work of others
• Verifiable experience in maintenance related work fields

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical repair; lamp changing, light fixture repair/installation, diagnostic capability.
• Performs plumbing repair: pump and fixture installations/replacements/repair, drain cleaning, diagnostic capability.
• Maintains basic understanding of commercial equipment operation and maintenance procedures regarding heating, ventilating, and air conditioning;
• Performs basic mechanical repair on tractors, forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and other equipment as required.
• Repairs the building; painting, wall repair, minor carpentry, floor repair, etc.
• Maintains all equipment necessary to perform work.
• Maintains primary emphasis is on performance of a variety of maintenance tasks, rather than a high degree of skill in any trade.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
