Job summary

ALVEST is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Associate in Windsor, CT, to support a 26-acre campus with six buildings. You will handle a variety of upkeep tasks, from routine repairs to grounds care, and assist with larger projects as needed.

The role emphasizes practical problem solving, safety, and the ability to work on a fast-paced manufacturing campus. Shift is first, with standard hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Hands-on maintenance experience is preferred.
• Ability to learn new equipment and tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building and facility maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical, and other general maintenance tasks.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment.
• Maintain grounds, parking areas, driveways, and property.
• Troubleshoot issues and determine practical solutions with limited instructions.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment after training/authorization.
• Support larger facility projects and cleanup activities.
