Job summary

Norwichtown Rehabilitation and Care Center in Norwich, CT, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team. You will help keep our residents safe and comfortable by performing cleaning and routine maintenance tasks in a healthcare setting.

You'll handle basic repairs, assist with grounds upkeep, and support the Maintenance Department as needed. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with daily cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Performing routine repairs and maintenance on equipment and facilities.
• Assisting with grounds keeping and facility maintenance projects.
• Providing support to the Maintenance Department as needed.
• Participating in emergency preparedness and on-call coverage as needed.
