Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a General Maintenance professional to complete work orders and oversee service contractors in our store operations. The role focuses on preventive maintenance across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical tasks, with emphasis on energy conservation and waste management in line with corporate programs.

The ideal candidate has broad building trades experience, a high mechanical aptitude, and the ability to supervise others while delivering reliable maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 1-2 year vocational training.
• Willing to oversee others.
• Verifiable maintenance experience in building trades.
• Broad mechanical aptitude across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and more.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical repair and lighting tasks including lamp changes and fixture installation.
• Perform plumbing repair, pump/fixture installations and drain cleaning.
• Maintain understanding of HVAC operation and maintenance procedures.
• Carry out basic mechanical repairs on tractors, forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and related equipment.
• Repair building components (paint, walls, carpentry, floors).
• Conduct periodic building tune-ups for energy conservation and waste management alignment with corporate programs.
• Maintain all necessary equipment to perform work.
• Complete preventative and reparative maintenance across multiple trades and components.
• Prioritize varied maintenance tasks over trade specialization.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
