Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee the Maintenance department for a post-acute care facility in Michigan. The role reports to the current Director and requires ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Responsibilities include planning and supervising maintenance programs, scheduling preventive work, inspecting systems, and managing staff within budget.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years’ maintenance experience.
• Proven knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledgeable of local building codes and ordinances.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and direct maintenance programs.
• Schedule preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
• Inspect equipment/systems regularly for proper functioning and safety.
• Recruit, select, hire, evaluate, train, counsel, and supervise maintenance staff.
• Perform duties as a Maintenance Assistant as needed.
• Effectively manage and operate within budget.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safety and compliance.
