Job summary

Aperion Care is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance department, coordinating services across facilities and reporting to the Administrator. You will help establish a preventive maintenance program, supervise safety protocols, manage outside vendors, and ensure a clean, safe environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators and mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to work tactfully with residents, staff, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other departments and report to the Administrator as needed.
• Assist in establishing a preventive maintenance program.
• Repair facility or resident property and coordinate with outside vendors when needed.
• Inspect storage and work areas for upkeep and supply control.
• Supervise safety and fire protection programs and ensure PPE usage.
• Assist in developing waste disposal policies and ensure proper handling of infectious wastes.
• Handle emergencies and adjust maintenance work schedules as required.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
