Job summary

Paramount Care Centers in Secaucus, NJ is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Director to lead the facility’s maintenance operations, supervise the team, perform repairs, and ensure preventive maintenance and safety compliance with all codes. The role requires hands-on leadership, budgeting input, scheduling, and safeguarding residents’ welfare through reliable systems.

A high school degree and supervisory experience are required; healthcare facility experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent and basic training in electrical, plumbing, heating and HVAC systems.
• Supervisory experience is required for this position.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance department including hands-on maintenance and repair work.
• Maintain building in good repair and free of hazards in systems like electrical, plumbing, HVAC.
• Ensure fire alarm and emergency generator systems are in good working order and tested.
• Keep required records and reports; participate in budget planning for maintenance.
• Orient, train and supervise maintenance personnel; recruit and evaluate staff.
• Be on call for emergencies 24 hours a day; ensure safety and compliance with codes.
