Job summary

Marion Valley Post Acute is seeking a Maintenance Director to plan, organize, and direct the Maintenance Department in alignment with applicable standards. You will ensure safety, coordinate with other departments, and supervise both internal staff and outside vendors.

The role requires leadership, blueprints literacy, and a strong knowledge of boilers, generators, and safety regulations. A license and a minimum of three years supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a maintenance/plant setting.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators and related systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Must be licensed according to applicable standards.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Strong communication and coordination with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct the Maintenance Department.
• Maintain schedules and ensure adherence to shifts.
• Coordinate maintenance with Dietary, Nursing, Activities, etc.
• Provide safety, fire protection and MSDS compliance oversight.
• Inspect and supervise outside vendors’ work as per contracts.
