Job summary

Prairie Heights is seeking a Maintenance Department Supervisor to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the maintenance function in accordance with current standards and regulations to keep our facility safe and comfortable.

You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate with dietary, nursing, and activities departments, manage safety and infection-control measures, review budgets, and ensure compliance with codes.

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory experience in a maintenance/plant setting.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and codes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Maintenance Department.
• Coordinate maintenance with Dietary, Nursing, and Activities departments.
• Supervise safety and infection-control programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain department budget and cost records; prepare reports for administration.
• Inspect facilities and ensure safe, comfortable environment for residents.
