Job summary

Great Plains Post Acute in Wichita, KS seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to plan, direct, and enhance the Maintenance Department to meet facility standards. You will supervise staff, coordinate with Dietary, Nursing, and Activities, and ensure safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance.

You will develop policies, manage the budget, and conduct regular rounds to guarantee reliable operations and a safe environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a maintenance/plant setting.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints; knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Must be licensed in accordance with current applicable standards, codes, and labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Maintenance Department and its programs.
• Coordinate maintenance services with other departments (Dietary, Nursing, Activities, etc.).
• Supervise safety and fire protection and prevention programs by inspecting work areas and equipment.
• Maintain infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures in maintenance.
• Prepare and plan the Maintenance Department budget and maintain records.
