Job summary

The City of McKinney seeks a Facilities Crew Leader to supervise and direct maintenance staff across City buildings. You will coordinate trades including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, develop preventive maintenance programs, and ensure safety and compliance with City standards.

Qualified candidates have at least five years of supervisory maintenance experience, strong leadership and planning skills, and knowledge of Cityworks and HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional coursework preferred.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible maintenance/repair experience in buildings/HVAC, with supervisory or lead experience.
• Willingness to perform in supervisory role and lead a team across multiple facilities.

Responsibilities

• Directs and evaluates work activities of Maintenance staff.
• Oversees plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, roofing, and other facilities trades.
• Develops contractor specifications and ensures compliance with City standards.
• Establishes preventive maintenance programs and safety procedures.
• Monitors supplies, budgets, and prepares reports and correspondence.
• Ensures training needs are identified and addressed for staff.
• Inspects facilities regularly to maintain standards.
