Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in the United States is seeking a dedicated maintenance associate to keep the club clean, safe and welcoming for members and team members. You will perform general cleaning, cart gathering, and light repairs while upholding the store’s high sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• May be less than 18 years of age to perform parking lot cart functions. Must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter age restricted areas.

Responsibilities

• Provides members with prompt and courteous service and maintains high safety and sanitation standards.
• Maintains the cleanliness of all club areas including sales floor, offices, restrooms and outdoor spaces.
• Gathers and returns carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance.
• Verifies carts are in working order; removes and replaces non-suitable carts.
• Performs routine maintenance and cleaning tasks (mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, trash).
• Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments.
