Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a maintenance-focused team member in Richmond, VA to perform general upkeep and cleaning, ensuring safety and sanitation for members and staff. You will manage carts, assist with daily tasks, and maintain club cleanliness across indoor and outdoor areas.

The role emphasizes consistent attendance, ability to operate cleaning and cart equipment, and adherence to club policies while supporting a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• May be less than 18 years of age to perform parking lot cart functions.
• Must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter age-restricted areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous service to members.
• Maintain high safety and sanitation standards for all areas.
• Keep club areas, including sales floor, restrooms, and outdoor spaces, clean.
• Greet members and assist with cart handling and merchandise retrieval.
• Operate floor scrubber and other cleaning equipment following safety guidelines.
