Job summary

Ripken Baseball in Flemington, NJ seeks a Facilities Assistant to assist the Facilities team with general maintenance and upkeep of facilities and equipment under supervision. Responsibilities include keeping the complex in top condition and supporting events with cleanliness and asset care.

The role requires independence, reliable transportation for 6 am starts and potential late shifts, strong customer service, and teamwork.

Qualifications

Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
Reliable transportation to be at work as early as 6 am, and stay as late as 12 am.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Must be able to follow instructions given by any full-time staff member.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability and willingness to learn and be responsible for new tasks as assigned.
Ability to be held accountable, following through on commitments, producing timely work to required standards, and pitching in to complete tasks.
Pride of workmanship.
Strong communication skills.
Must be able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain facility assets, including buildings and equipment.
Perform general care and maintenance of artificial playing surfaces, mounds, and bases.
Clean clubhouse, restrooms, and outdoor areas of the park before, during, and after events.
Empty and remove trash cans throughout the complex.
Remove loose trash from the complex, including the parking lot.
Tend to water and Gatorade coolers in each dugout during programming.
Perform any other duties assigned to ensure the success of the complex.
