Job summary

Major League Baseball is seeking a Lead Attendant, Facilities & Event Operations to support daily setup, breakdown, cleanliness, and readiness of the Jackie Robinson Training Complex. This hands-on, entry-level role partners with multiple departments to ensure spaces are prepared for meetings, events, trainings, and athletic programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Entry-level position; previous experience in facility operations, event setup, maintenance support, hospitality, athletics, or labor-based work preferred.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to perform physical, hands-on work.
• Ability to follow directions, complete tasks, and communicate issues clearly to a supervisor while also working independently and as part of a team.
• Regularly lift, carry, push, pull, move, and set up tables, chairs, barricades, tents, equipment, supplies, and other materials.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, rain, and humidity.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on event needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and breakdown of meetings, events, athletic programs, tournaments, and special events.
• Move, set up, and break down tables, chairs, tents, barricades, signage, and other equipment.
• Follow layouts and directions to ensure spaces are prepared correctly and on time.
• Support room flips, conference center setups, outdoor event setups, and campus-wide event needs.
• Help maintain cleanliness and professional appearance in guest-facing and back-of-house spaces.
• Perform power washing of sidewalks, entrances, and common areas.
• Report damaged equipment, safety concerns, or maintenance needs to the Senior Coordinator.
• Assist with nightly maintenance in villas and guest areas.
• Load, unload, transport, and stage equipment for events and daily operations.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain organization of storage areas and inventory of event equipment.
• Follow checklists and daily priorities.
• Provide hands-on support and communicate operational needs or delays.
