Job summary

ECS Group of Companies seeks an on-site technician in the Richmond, VA area to perform field observations at existing facilities. You will deliver roofing and waterproofing, EIFS, anchor testing, coring, scanning, sampling, leak investigations, and forensic investigations.

Strong communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers is essential. You are pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science or related field, and you must be

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Engineering/Architecture/Building Science or related field.
• Interest in building forensics, mechanical systems, and structures.
• Ability to lift 40–70 lbs repeatedly or up to 85 lbs occasionally.
• Must have reliable transportation with mileage reimbursement.

What You'll Do

• Conducting field observations associated with existing facilities
• Performing facilities related services including roofing and waterproofing, fireproofing and firestopping, exterior insulation finish systems (EIFS), anchor testing, coring, scanning, material sampling, leak investigations, and forensic investigations
• Interacting and communicating effectively with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers

What We're Looking For

• Actively pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or related degree
• Interest in building forensics, mechanical systems, and structures
• Position requires carrying 40 - 70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lifting 85 lbs to waist height
• Must be able to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites - mileage will be reimbursed

The expected pay range for this role and location is $18-$20/hour. The final agreed-upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
