Job summary

ECS Group of Companies offers opportunities for students pursuing engineering-related degrees to gain hands-on field experience with facility assessments and construction materials expertise. You will perform a range of services including roofing, waterproofing, EIFS, anchor testing, coring, scanning, sampling, and forensic investigations while collaborating with site contractors and project managers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an associate, bachelor, or master's degree in engineering, architecture, building science, or related field.
• Interest in building forensics, mechanical systems, and structures.
• Physically able to lift 40–70 lbs multiple times daily or up to 85 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field observations of existing facilities.
• Provide facilities-related services (roofing, waterproofing, EIFS, anchor testing, coring, scanning, sampling, leak and forensic investigations).
• Communicate effectively with site contractors, technicians, and project managers.

Responsibilities

• Conducting field observations associated with existing facilities
• Performing facilities related services including roofing and waterproofing, fireproofing and firestopping, exterior insulation finish systems (EIFS), anchor testing, coring, scanning, material sampling, leak investigations, and forensic investigations
• Interacting and communicating effectively with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or related degree
• Interest in building forensics, mechanical systems, and structures
• Position requires carrying 40 - 70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lifting 85 lbs to waist height
• Must be able to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites - mileage will be reimbursed

The expected pay range for this role and location is $18-$20/hour. The final agreed-upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
