Job summary

Amperesand, Inc. is seeking a seasoned facilities leader for multi-site operations in Reno. The role drives end-to-end infrastructure projects, managing electrical, mechanical, and lab spaces while coordinating contractors and permits.

You’ll own budgets, schedules, and vendor relationships to bring new capacity online. Expect hands-on work on production lines, rigging coordination, and active collaboration with Eng, Manufacturing, and IT teams to ensure safe, compliant, and timely

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years in industrial facilities, capital projects, construction management, or manufacturing/facilities engineering.
• Delivered capital projects from concept through commissioning in technically complex facilities.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical and mechanical building systems; able to read and markup drawings.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment installation, rigging plans, anchoring, utility drops, and OEM coordination.
• Experience pulling permits and managing AHJ inspections for industrial work; managed GCs, contractors, and vendors, including EHS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure and capital projects end to end: scope, budget, schedule, design coordination, bidding, construction, commissioning, turnover.
• Drive site bring-up and expansions from programming and space planning through permitting, construction, commissioning, and move-in.
• Oversee day-to-day facilities across all sites: electrical, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, controls, and life-safety systems; implement CMMS/asset management.
• Coordinate shutdowns and utility tie-ins in active environments and manage vendor/contractor relationships.
• Help define and hire the facilities team as workload grows, starting with a facilities technician.
