Job summary

Amperesand is seeking a hands-on Director of Facilities to lead end-to-end capital projects across multiple sites, including Reno. You will manage electrical, mechanical, and utility systems, coordinate with GCs and vendors, and drive commissioning and handover to operations.

You will build the facilities team, advance preventive maintenance programs, and develop long-term capacity plans to support aggressive growth.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years in industrial facilities, capital projects, construction management, or manufacturing/facilities engineering.
• Delivered capital projects from concept through commissioning in technically complex facilities.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical and mechanical building systems; able to read and markup drawings.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment installation, rigging plans, anchoring, utility drops, OEM coordination.
• Experience pulling permits and managing AHJ inspections for industrial work.
• Managed GCs, specialty contractors, engineering consultants, and vendors, including EHS compliance.
• Able to create structure and drive execution when requirements are ambiguous.
• Comfortable communicating with trade contractors to executives.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure and capital projects end to end, including scope, budget, schedule, and turnover.
• Oversee electrical distribution and manufacturing equipment installations, rigging and utility connections.
• Drive site expansion and bring-up from programming to commissioning and move-in.
• Stand up facilities operations, preventive maintenance, and CMMS/asset-management.
• Contribute to multi-year capital planning and capacity assessments.
• Build and grow the facilities team across multiple sites.
