Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. in Lynchburg, VA, is seeking an experienced HVAC Maintenance Facilities Supervisor 1 to lead the facilities HVAC team and oversee maintenance of production-support equipment and systems, including rooftop units, package systems, split systems, and chillers.

This on-site role emphasizes safety, scheduling, and collaboration with IE Reliability Engineering to keep production running efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of industrial HVAC maintenance experience.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as required.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain DOE clearance.
• Must maintain respirator use training.
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, coordinates and monitors activities of assigned employees; provides ongoing training.
• Ensures proper use of facilities, time and personnel.
• Organizes HVAC support for facility projects.
• Reviews HVAC maintenance activities for safety.
• Collaborates with IE Reliability Engineering and IE Planning for maintenance programs.
• Monitors HVAC maintenance metrics to improve group effectiveness.
• Data entry for equipment notes and work summaries in SAP CMMS.
• Interviews job candidates for HVAC openings.
• Reviews changes and SERs.
