Job summary

RTX Enterprise Services is seeking a Facilities Lead Technician (HVAC Specialist) to lead maintenance operations onsite at our Dulles, VA facility. The role requires a licensed Journeyman HVAC technician with strong leadership to direct daily facilities personnel and coordinate with external contractors.

Responsibilities include hands-on maintenance of commercial HVAC systems, troubleshooting, CMMS support, and optimizing BAS for energy efficiency.

Qualifications

Minimum 8+ years of facilities HVAC technician and leadership experience with an AA/AS degree.
Universal EPA certification required and hands-on HVAC troubleshooting experience.
Strong ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams and blueprints.
Experience supervising team members and coordinating maintenance work.
Familiar with BAS interface platforms and diagnostic tools.
Excellent verbal communication and project organization under deadline pressure.

Responsibilities

Lead maintenance operations and serve as primary contact for escalations and emergencies.
Oversee external contractors for MEP work with safety and quality oversight.
Assist CMMS for routine repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
Perform hands-on maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of chillers, boilers, RTUs, AHUs, VRF and cooling towers.
Monitor Building Automation Systems to optimize energy efficiency and comfort.
Lead preventive maintenance schedules across mechanical systems.
Perform EPA refrigerant recovery and documentation.
