Job summary

Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is seeking a dedicated Supportive Housing and Facilities Operations Manager to ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of housing facilities and shelters. The role requires rapid response to issues, inspections, and coordination across multiple sites, including after-hours support.

Strong managerial experience and knowledge of HUD rules are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree plus supervisory/administrative experience.
• Bachelor's degree plus five years supervisory/administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement facility and maintenance processes for housing and shelter assets.
• Coordinate maintenance, landscaping, custodial services, and repair projects.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly safety inspections of facilities and grounds.
• Ensure compliance with HUD regulations, local codes, ordinances, and safety requirements.
• Respond promptly to property management issues, operational disruptions, and emergencies.
• Develop building-operation policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Communicate with Metro departments and stakeholders regarding facility concerns.
• Monitor expenditures and assist with fiscal reporting.
• Prepare annual reports on operational status and facility performance.
• Investigate facility concerns, incidents, and complaints and document outcomes.
