Job summary

Milwaukee County is seeking a Facilities Grounds Supervisor to oversee FGW1, FGW2, and Lead Facilities Grounds Workers. The role focuses on proactive, customer‑oriented facility operations and everyday supervisory duties.

Responsibilities include creating shifts, coordinating with vendors, and supporting DAS projects across facilities. Candidates must have Wisconsin residency, a CDL‑B, and a strong background in grounds maintenance and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Three years of supervisory experience in staff coverage scheduling and workload management.
• HS Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and CDL Class B with air brake endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Provide feedback to manager and customer regarding customer‑oriented problems or challenges; ensure needs are met.
• Create shift schedules based on staff availability and prioritize workloads; plan for snow/cold emergencies.
• Work with vendors/contractors for operations and maintenance; purchase tools and safety equipment.
• Support DAS team members and their projects within FMD facilities.
• Support trades staff work efforts and perform other duties as assigned.
