Job summary

The Wisconsin Department of Corrections is seeking a supervisor for the Building and Grounds Maintenance program, directing maintenance staff and coordinating preventive maintenance, pest control, and grounds activities.

You will participate in project planning, monitor budgets, ensure health and safety checks, and support care and security staff to carry out program functions; compliance with state codes is essential.

Qualifications

• Supervisory/lead worker experience: training, assigning duties, reviewing work, staffing processes.
• Maintaining or repairing building/institution systems: heating, cooling, electrical, plumbing, grounds equipment, etc.
• Planning and directing maintenance and repair of service systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Building and Grounds Maintenance program and supervise staff.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance, pest control and grounds activities; monitor budgets and supplies.
