Job summary

City of Corvallis is seeking a supervisor-level Buildings and Grounds Maintenance position to manage crews performing preventive and corrective maintenance on city facilities and grounds. The role includes planning, budgeting assistance, and coordinating with contractors to ensure timely project delivery.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and five years journeyman level work experience in building construction, maintenance or repair.
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and building systems; ability to read construction documents and plans.
Experience leading crews, directing maintenance operations, and coordinating with other departments and external contractors.

Responsibilities

Schedule daily activities for crew members and assist with short- and long-range work plans.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on City-owned buildings, building systems and grounds.
Review construction plans and monitor maintenance projects; coordinate with contractors and licensed trades.
Ensure safety practices and regulatory compliance; provide technical assistance as needed.
