Job summary

City of Corvallis is seeking a part-time janitorial worker to perform cleaning, sanitizing and basic maintenance in assigned facilities. The role includes setting up event spaces, stocking supplies and routine reporting, with flexible hours. Prior janitorial experience is preferred and safety rules must be followed.

Employees provide reliable service, work with teams, and may operate a vehicle between City facilities. Open to varied shifts, including mornings and evenings.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial and building maintenance in a large facility.
• Ability to follow safety rules and procedures.
• Willingness to work early mornings, weekdays, nights and weekends as needed.
• Good communication with coworkers, staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, clean and sanitize facilities including locker rooms, lavatories and meeting rooms; empty trash.
• Assist with maintenance projects; replace light bulbs, replenish bathroom supplies, wash windows and perform minor repairs.
• Set up indoor/outdoor event spaces; clean tables, chairs, windows and other surfaces.
• Monitor inventory of custodial supplies and related materials.
• Perform basic grounds maintenance and related tasks as directed.
• Maintain records of custodial activities and safety compliance.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professional relationships; arrive on time.
• May operate and drive a vehicle between City facilities as required.
