Job summary

LifeStar Talent, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Associate for Jacaranda Trace in Venice, FL. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will assist with routine maintenance, basic repairs, and upkeep of community buildings and grounds.

This safety-sensitive role requires on-call rotation during emergencies and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will interact respectfully with residents, family members, visitors, and staff while maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of general maintenance and hand tools.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good organizational skills and communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy or willingness to learn.
• Prior maintenance, groundskeeping, or custodial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and responsive customer service to residents and families.
• Assist with maintaining buildings and grounds in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
• Able to patch and repair drywall.
• Perform minor painting.
• Responsible for the care of tools and equipment.
• Assist with preventative maintenance under the direction of the Maintenance Manager or Technician.
• Carry, lift and stock supplies.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or equipment issues promptly.
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.

Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $15.00 - $17.25 Hourly

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Associate assists with routine maintenance, basic repairs, and general upkeep of the community’s buildings and grounds.

This position is subject to call backs during emergency conditions such as severe weather, evacuation and post-disaster.

The Maintenance Associate respectfully interacts with all residents, family members, visitors, colleagues and staff.

This is a safety sensitive position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide courteous and responsive customer service to residents and families
• Assist with maintaining buildings and grounds in a clean, safe and orderly condition
• Able to patch and repair drywall
• Perform minor painting
• Responsible for the care of tools and equipment
