Job summary

Oklahoma Military Department is seeking a Construction Maintenance Tech III to perform grounds upkeep and help with preventive maintenance of facilities at Will Rogers Air National Guard Base.

The role supports plumbing, electrical and HVAC tasks, working with licensed tradesmen and operating a range of maintenance equipment. Requires five years in building trades and the ability to lift heavy loads, with a pesticide certification or the ability to obtain one within a year.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in building trades.
• Ability to lift/carry a minimum of 80 pounds.
• Pesticide Applicator Certification – Category 3a or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, and debris cleanup.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and minor repairs of grounds equipment.
• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides as required.
• Attend safety training and follow procedures for tool use and maintenance.
• Assist skilled tradesmen in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks.
• Operate construction and maintenance equipment such as mowers, tractors, and trailers.
