Job summary

High Plains Community Health Center is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to perform hands-on groundskeeping, routine building maintenance, and repairs across HPCHC locations. The role reports to the Facilities Manager and is primarily field-based with no supervisory duties.

The position emphasizes safety, timely response to work orders, and coordination with outside contractors when needed; a valid driver's license and the ability to travel between HPCHC sites are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of relevant facilities, grounds, maintenance, or repair experience preferred; equivalent practical experience considered.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel among HPCHC locations.
• Ability to operate common hand and power tools and grounds equipment.
• Basic computer skills to receive assignments, maintain records, and communicate with staff.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds and exterior areas including mowing, edging, and seasonal tasks.
• Perform routine building maintenance and minor repairs.
• Complete work orders and document progress in logs.
• Support safety practices and incident reporting.
