Job summary

Antelope Valley Care Center is seeking a maintenance worker responsible for keeping the grounds, facility, and equipment in safe, reliable condition in line with applicable standards and our policies. You will follow maintenance schedules, coordinate with nursing services on routine tasks, and perform repairs as directed by supervision to ensure a smooth operation.

The role requires a minimum of a 10th grade education, good judgment, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds, facility, and equipment in safe and efficient condition.
• Follow maintenance schedules for respective shift or area.
• Report accidents or incidents to supervisor.
• Coordinate daily maintenance with nursing services during routine tasks.
• Perform routine maintenance on facilities and systems (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical).
• Follow safety precautions and protect resident information.
• Keep work areas clean and maintain confidentiality of resident care data.
