Job summary

Antelope Valley Medical Center in Lancaster, CA is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform semi-skilled repairs and general maintenance of the hospital's physical plant and equipment under the Director of Engineering/Facilities. You will assist in facility maintenance, handle basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, maintain safety, organize work, and log activity in the Work Order System.

Requires High School Diploma/GED and at least 1 year in maintenance or construction; ability to lift up

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year experience in some type of maintenance or construction trade.
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to adhere to safety rules and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

Assists in Facility Maintenance
Repairs minor problems i.e. light replacement, replacing fixtures, etc.
Perform building maintenance repairs including basic plumbing, carpentry and electrical
Assist in other areas as assigned
Organize work and establish priorities
Take initiative to expand performance of duties
Ensures Safe Work Environment
Maintain a clean work area
Reports equipment and areas in need of repair to Supervisor
Computer/Customer Support
Log time & supplies appropriately on Work Order System
Assists callers with Engineering trouble call hotline and inputs work order into Work Order System
